Making up for lost time…
Well, I hate that I have gone so very long and not written any updates. Logan is 7 months old now and just growing and changing every day. We just had his first Thanksgiving and he enjoyed his very own version of Turkey, sweet potatoes and green beans for the day. He is eating lots of different solid foods and enjoying them quite a bit. He LOVES to eat! We are up to feeding him 3 meals of solid food a day, which also means he doesn’t nurse as much, either. Which is a little sad for me. But as soon as he stops nursing, that will just mean I’ll be ready for another baby!
We are looking forward to our first Christmas with Logan. Even though he won’t really understand what all is going on, I think he’ll enjoy the lights and the tree. I just hope he doesn’t enjoy the tree UP CLOSE.
He is starting to get mobile on the floor, although he’s not crawling, he does roll and I guess he figures that gets him where he wants to go, so its good enough for now. Fine by me cause I am not rushing him!
We’re not real sure what we are going to get him for Christmas yet. He LOVES Elmo (and Sesame Street), the Wiggles, and Its a Big Big World as far as TV goes. I am thinking something that plays music and wiggles or something. I think he’ll also enjoy some interactive toys for his age. I am going to try not to get him a lot because I know our families will want to get him some stuff. We won’t have anywhere to put everything if Alan and I get him too much. But we’ll have to have that first Christmas morning of him waking up and coming into the living room and seeing his toys on video. Its the memories for Alan and I that are necessary.
A couple of Saturdays ago I as getting ready to head to Birmingham with a friend and Alan was watching a John Mayer concert on TV. Logan was in his lap and fell asleep listening to and watching the tv. Ever since then, if we play that concert he will just chill out and watch it like its elmo. Its so funny. I guess our 7 month old is a John Mayer fan.
Fine with us, we both really like John Mayer and went to his concert in Birmingham at the beginning of October. We had a good time, but it was the longest I had ever left him. Mom and Daddy kept him, fed him, bathed him and put him to bed. It was a milestone for me. But I survived! AND I only text messaged my mom once to check on him.
I am going to try and post some pictures, so check the photo page. I will also try and keep the blog updated. I meant to do better so maybe I can make up for it and try and post every week or so!
