Growing so fast!

Logan is 3 months old today and I really can’t believe its been that long! He is growing up so fast and starting to do so many new things! He can roll over onto his tummy from his back but he’s yet to figure out how to roll off his tummy to his back. Now that he can roll over, we really have to watch where we put him if we have to walk out of the room for a second. He can get from his back to his tummy pretty quickly. He’s so funny, too, because he will just grin like a possum every time he does like “Look what I did!” Its really cute.

He’s also holding his head up really good now. He’ll roll onto his tummy and just look around and grin at you. I wanted to post a good picture we took of him on his tummy with his head up, but this computer I am having to use in place of ours while its “in the shop” wouldn’t let me post any for some reason. So, I’ll be calling Steven here in a little bit to figure out what’s going on. As soon as I get if figured out, I’ll have some new pictures to post. So check back!

Last Tuesday night I let him sleep in his crib, in the nursery, all night. He got up once to eat but slept there all night. I was afraid he’d wake up crying since he hasn’t slept in there yet, but he didn’t. I guess those daytime naps in there helped him become familiar with the crib. He hasn’t slept in there since, but I’m working on it! Alan said “Why do you think he needs to go in there now? He’s not even 3 months old yet!” Of course, that was last week and now he is 3 months old. He’s only supposed to sleep in the bedside crib in our room until he’s 3 months. It really makes me sad to think about him not being right there when I wake up in the middle of the night!

He is finally starting to sleep through the night some. He’ll get up once to eat about that’s about it. That usually only lasts about 15 minutes, so I’m thinking its just a comfort thing and maybe we can break that soon. We’ll see. He’s also starting to really pay attention to voices and noises in the room. He’ll turn his head to see Alan when he says something and will grin from ear to ear at him. I’ll read books to him during the day and he’ll just look at the pictures so intently its like he is reading along with me. He loves to hear me read books. I need to buy some more because we’ve almost read all the ones he has. I bet he wouldn’t remember if I read one twice, though, huh? After we’ve played and giggled and read books, Logan’s other past time during the day is watching t.v. He really loves Sesame Street already! (I think Elmo and the Cookie Monster are his favorites!) He also watches Charlie & Lola, which happens to be my favorite.
Logan can really cackle out loud pretty good now, too. Although he really makes me work for it. But in the end, the work is worth it to hear him laugh like he does. Its so funny how each parent in the world is so amazed and eager to share with other people things their baby does. Every baby does it, but we think because its our baby that everyone must hear about it and be amazed. However, it is unique when Logan does things because he is brilliant you know! :)
